I was talking to a friend the other day and she was telling me that she stared a diet last month. She said, “At the end of the month I didn’t lose any weight, I didn’t even lose one pound.” I said, “What was this diet you were doing?” she said, “Well, I tried really hard to exercise at least once a day, I went on a walk for about 30 minutes. I only let myself have one treat a day, and other than that I continued to eat what I usually ate, but I just ate smaller portions.” And I said, “Of course you’re not going to lose any weight doing that.” A lot of people want to know how to lose weight quickly, first of all, and they don’t know how to change their eating habits. Just exercise, taking a walk 30 min a day can help, but only if your eating the right food. A lot of time exercise doesn’t help anyone. I’m here to share with you some tips for losing weight fast.

One of the first things is varying you exercise. You definitely need to have some cardio; experts recommend 30 min a day and probably 4-5 times a week. You also have to do some cross training, which means weight lifting, when your weight lifting your able to burn fat all daylong. A lot of people miss weight lifting and think cardio is the best way. I think running is definitely the best bank for you buck if your planning on exercise to loss weight, but you got to get weight lifting in there, or your weight loss won’t be as effective. Second thing, you can’t keep eating the foods you always ate in smaller portions. You do need to include healthy greens with almost every meal and you also need to include lean meats. Protein is vital to losing weight; you can’t lose weight with out it. Third is to drink water. I know I always say this but I am going to say it again. Water is one of the best ways to lose weight. It’s good for you. It helps keep you skin hydrated, it keeps your system running, and it keeps you healthy. It will also help you lose especially if you drink water instead of any other liquids. So make sure your not getting you calories from other liquids.

Drinking water while on any diet plays an important role in your weight loss.   You should be drinking 3/4 to a gallon of water a day. Here are some interesting ways that water helps our bodies.

Water is the best beauty treatment.  It flushes out impurities in your skin.  It also makes your skin look younger.  Skin that is becoming saggy, then plumps up when skin cells are hydrated.  We tend to confuse thirst with hunger, which can lead to eating unnecessary calories, when all we really need is a glass of water.  Add some lemon to your water extra flavour.

The role of water plays in your body is to maintain the proper metabolism:

  • It helps you lose weight by flushing by-products of fat breakdown.
  • It helps to regulate and maintain our body temperature.
  • Its presence in the blood carries oxygen and nutrients to all our cells.
  • It moisturizes air in our lungs.

  • It increases the immune system.
  • It is essential for digesting food.
  • It helps to cushion our joints.
  • It helps the body to fight against diseases.
  • It is great for anti-aging by making the skin supple and taut.

I would like a burger, protein style and animal style please! Here’s an healthy recipe for all who love and crave IN and OUT Burger.

Ingredients

  • 4oz lean ground beef
  • Pepper
  • Onion salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Lettuce (1 wrap)
  • 1 Tomato (1 cup sliced)
  • 1 Onion (1/2 cup sliced or diced)

Direction: Shape your meat into a patty and add your spices to your liking. Cook the patty. While patty is cooking you may sauté your onions using pam spray or water. You may eat them raw, depending on your preference. Place cooked patty on lettuce wrap. Add sliced tomatoes and your onions on the patty. Then wrap the bottom of the patty with the lettuce and then around both sides.  Enjoy.

Today I am going to share with you 3 ways you can change your diet just a little bit in order to lose weight fast and easy. A lot of people ask the question, “ How can I lose weight fast and easy?” because they maybe don’t want to do an extreme diet and they don’t feel like exercising. So these are just 3 small ways to drop a couple of pounds without dramatically changing your diet.

First thing is to cut back salts and starches. What salts and starches do is they cause fluid retention. So you are keeping a lot of your water and fluids inside and it makes you feel like your not losing weight and you probably won’t see the pounds drop on the scale either, so definitely cut back your starches. Instead of putting additional salt on your foods, just eat it as is. You can also find some natural salt substitutes that won’t cause as much retention from the sodium.

Second thing to do is to eat more protein and you need to eat the right kinds of protein. Anything that you can have on the HCG platinum diet is basically a go. You can have lean chicken breast, lean beef, and white fish is totally fine. Those are the kinds of healthy protein that will to preserve your muscle and also burn fat you have. Today I am going to share with you 3 ways to lose weight fast if you’re a teenage girl. Here are 3 tips if you’re a teenage girl on ways to lose weight fast.  First one is to sleep. You might not think that this affects you much because your not losing weight in your sleep, but it does affect you during the day. Say you were at a sleep over all night. The next day you wake up your going to reach for sugary foods. You’re going to reach for foods that will give you quick and easy energy. Soda, candy, anything that’s bad for you really, to get the energy you missed with sleep. So sleep more and you’ll eat less. Second is to eat breakfast. It is easy to skip out on breakfast on your way to school because you’re in a hurry and you don’t have time. But breakfast gets your metabolism going and you will lose weight faster, especially, if you eat a really solid, good breakfast. The third thing is to not eat while your distracted. Don’t eat while your doing your homework. Don’t eat while your watching TV. When you’re distracted you tend to eat more. These are my 3 tips.

Martha Stewart – Healthy recipe

Grilled Chicken with Lemon and Oregano

Yield Serves 8

Ingredients

1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 2 lemons)
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh oregano (or 1 tablespoon dried)
Coarse salt and ground pepper
4 chicken halves (1 1/2 pounds each) or 2 whole chickens, split
4 lemons, halved crosswise
Oregano sprigs (optional)

Directions

1. Make marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together lemon zest and juice, oregano, 2 teaspoons coarse salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper. Divide marinade between 2 large reseal able plastic bags. Place 2 chicken halves in each bag; shake to coat. Let marinate at room temperature 30 minutes, turning bags occasionally.
2. Preheat grill to medium. Remove chicken from marinade, and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken, skin side up, on grill. Cover and cook, until lightly browned and cooked through, about 20 minutes. Turn chicken over; cover and cook until well browned, 10 to 15 minutes (an instant-read thermometer should register 175 degrees. When inserted into thickest part of meat, avoiding bone). If chicken is browning too quickly, move to cooler parts of grill or turn grill to low heat.
3. Transfer chicken to a cutting board. Tent with foil; let rest 10 minutes. Meanwhile, place lemon halves on grill, cut side down; cook until slightly charred, 8 to 10 minutes. Cut chicken pieces in half; serve with grilled lemon halves, and, if desired, garnish with oregano sprigs.

Hi it’s Mandy blogging from hcgplatinum.com. A lot of people ask us, “How can I lose weight fast?” They don’t just want to lose weight, they want to do it quickly. I am here to share three tips with you.

1. Now the first thing to do, is to drink a lot of water. I know all of us have heard this before but we may not understand why it is so important. Not only does water help us flush out the bad fats and toxins that we’re holding in our bodies, but it also helps us to feel full, so we are less likely to indulge or eat more than we should while we’re drinking water. It’s also important to note that we are getting our calories from our food and not our liquid. There is no reason to get your calories from your liquids, since water has zero calories.
2. The second thing is to eat only when you’re hungry, not thirsty. This kind of ties back to the water thing, but some of us have a tendency to eat really when we are feeling thirsty and not hungry. So, my advice to you is to drink a tall glass of water when you start to feel cravings, or like you might need a snack. If that doesn’t curb your appetite, then it is time to eat most likely. But if it does, you were just thirsty and not hungry.
3. The third thing, is regarding our meats. It is important that we boil, or bake our meats rather than frying them. When we fry them we have to use oil or butter of some sort, and that always absorbs into the meats. So, baking is a great option but boiling is even better, because with boiling a lot of times you can boil away the fats. It helps us not only to eat healthy, but also to prepare our foods healthy so we’re not getting hidden calories that we don’t want.

3 Exercise Tips

Hi, it’s Mandy blogging from hcgplatinum.com.  Yesterday I blogged about exercise while  dieting and I know it’s not required on the diet, but I did get some emails asking me for additional tips on exercise.   So here they are for you for those of you who want to exercise on the diet.  My first bit of advice is to take a B-12 complex vitamin.  I have one with me right here.  This is HCG platinum’s newest product the B-12 plus potassium and it will be available on our site soon.  So I would recommend taking one of these a day.  It will help those of  you who are feeling weak, or tired or dizzy.  My second bit of advice is to walk and then run.  Take a walk first, see how you feel.  If you are feeling really dizzy or really weak, keep walking.  If it gets bad stop walking.  If you feel great, take it up to a run.  Everyone’s body is different and you need to listen to what your body is telling you.  So if you feel up to it feel free to run.   Otherwise, start walking and see how you feel and go from there.   My third bit of advice is to find ways to exercise wherever you are.  If you are working and during your break instead of eating, or calling a friend, or whatever you normally do, take a walk.  Go outside and take a walk, enjoy the air, get your blood racing a little bit, it’s so good for your heart.  It will definitely help you to maximize your weight loss on the diet.  For those of you who are at home, take a walk around your house or your neighborhood.  Take a short bike ride, walk to the bus stop to pick up your kids up from school.  Whatever it is, whatever situation you are in, you can find a way to exercise.  That’s my advice for you.  Please email me with any future questions.  I’m happy to answer any of them and good luck with your diet!

I’m here to share with you 4 tips when looking for a new swimming suit.  The first tip is to consider the fabric.  There are a lot of cute cotton swimming suits out there, but cotton tends to lose its shape easily.  It tends to sag also and often forms little balls on it.   So instead of getting pure cotton, 100% cotton, look for a swimming suit that’s cotton like, or a blend.  Those retain their shape easier, and they tend to last longer and not wear out.    The second tip is to find a good brand.  Brands don’t always matter when it comes to clothes, but they really do matter when it comes to a swimming suit.  So find a good brand, invest in a good swimming suit and you will feel a lot better in it and it will last longer.  The third tip is to consider the print.  Find a print that looks good on you.  If you look better in solids, buy a solid suit, if you look better in prints, buy the print.  Also, consider the color of it because that definitely influences the print and how you look and feel in it.  The fourth tip is to find something that shows off your best features and hides you’re not so good features.  You want something that can show you off because that what swimming suits are for. Find the swimming suit that makes you feel and look the best that you can possibly look.  Those are my four swimming suit shopping tips.  Have a good spring break!
